Snow Season Update

Due to limited early snowfall, our winter operations will officially begin on January 9th. We can't wait to see you on the trails! ❄️

Start your day with a guided half-day snowmobile tour near Vail, riding deep into the high alpine terrain of Camp Hale, one of Colorado’s most scenic and historic mountain valleys. This morning adventure is perfect for travelers who want more time on the snow, bigger views, and a relaxed pace without committing to a full-day ride. Did we mention it includes convenient hotel pickup and transportation?

After a comprehensive safety briefing and orientation, you’ll set out on powerful Ski-Doo snowmobiles with an experienced local guide leading the way. The route winds through pine forests, across open snowfields, and steadily climbs into higher elevation terrain. Along the way, your guide shares stories about Camp Hale’s unique history and points out natural landmarks as you stop for photos.

The trail climbs to elevations over 12,500 feet, where panoramic views stretch across four mountain ranges, including the Continental Divide. You’ll visit iconic spots like Machine Gun Ridge and Ptarmigan Pass, offering sweeping alpine vistas that feel remote, wild, and unforgettable.

After the tour, you’ll enjoy a warm, hearty lunch at the lodge, giving you time to relax, refuel, and recount the incredible moments from your snowmobile tour. The experience strikes a perfect balance between adventure and comfort, with plenty of scenic stops and time to enjoy the moment.

This half-day Camp Hale snowmobile tour is beginner-friendly and well-suited for first-time riders, couples, families, and anyone looking to experience Colorado’s backcountry in a fun and approachable way. With safety equipment provided and guides adjusting the pace to match your comfort level, you can focus on enjoying the ride and the views.

If you’re looking for a longer snowmobile tour near Vail that combines high-alpine scenery, expert guidance, and a included lunch, this half-day adventure delivers a true Rocky Mountain experience.
