Description
You'll start your day getting geared up and ready to ride in the crisp Colorado air. Once everyone's set, we head out into broad, open country—snow-covered valleys, quiet forests, and high ridgelines that seem to stretch forever. The snowmobiles are modern and easy to handle, so even if it's your first time, you'll get the hang of it quickly. The beauty of the Colorado scenery will leave you awe-inspired.
We'll follow groomed trails through the backcountry, stopping along the way to take in some incredible views. The first big stop is Machine Gun Ridge, where you can see the Gore and Sawatch mountain ranges spread out in every direction. It's the kind of view that makes you stop talking for a minute. From there, we keep climbing toward Resolution Mountain. At the top, you'll feel like you're standing on the roof of Colorado—just clean air and open sky.
Around midday, we stop for a hot lunch. It's a great chance to warm up, relax, and share stories with the rest of the group, fostering a sense of camaraderie. Then it's back on the sleds for the final leg of the ride, out toward Ptarmigan Pass. This part feels peaceful and remote, with untouched snow and quiet all around, adding to the excitement of the adventure.
Your guide, well-versed in the area's history, including its World War II training grounds, will ensure everyone's safety and comfort throughout the journey. By the time we head back, you'll be a little tired, a little rosy from the cold, and probably smiling, feeling secure and well-cared for. It's five hours of great riding, good company, and some of the best mountain scenery you'll ever see.
