Description

In just two hours on horseback, you will ride through private trails above Glenwood Canyon with clear views of the Colorado River and the surrounding mountains. This experience is built for people who want a longer ride at a steady, comfortable pace, not something rushed or physically demanding.

You start with a short orientation and safety talk, then get matched with a calm, well-trained horse based on your size and comfort level. Helmets are provided and required to ensure everyone feels protected. Once you head out, the ride stays at a relaxed walking pace, making this a good fit for first-time riders, families with kids ages seven and up, and anyone who prefers a low-pressure outdoor activity.

The trail climbs gradually across a broad mesa meadow, where you will stop to take in open canyon views that inspire wonder. As the ride continues, you move through aspen groves, cedar forests, and higher ground with long sightlines across valleys and canyon walls. Wildlife sightings are possible, and guides point out features along the way while keeping the group moving comfortably.

With a full two hours in the saddle, there is time to settle in, get comfortable riding, and enjoy the scenery without feeling hurried. The total experience lasts about 2.5 hours, including check-in and preparation, providing a calm, well-paced way to explore this part of Western Colorado on horseback.
