Shoshone Rapid Triple Run Whitwater Rafting
Description
If you like a little excitement on the water, this trip is a blast. We call it the Shoshone Rapids 3-Peat because you’ll run the same fun stretch of the Colorado River not once, but three times. It’s a solid mix of splash, teamwork, and big smiles, perfect for anyone who wants more than a single quick trip through the rapids. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-time traveler, this trip is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
The entire experience lasts approximately 3.5 hours, with about 1.5 hours spent on the river. We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Vail or Beaver Creek and drive out to Glenwood Canyon. The drive alone is worth it; you’ll see tall red cliffs and the river winding below. Once we arrive, we’ll get everyone geared up and review the basics of paddling and safety. We take safety seriously, ensuring you feel secure throughout the trip.
The Shoshone section is full of steady Class III rapids. They’ve got great names like “Entrance Exam,” “Tuttles-Tumble,” and “Tombstone.” They’re exciting, but not over-the-top, making them perfect for beginners or families who enjoy some action. After each run, we’ll hop back in the van, ride upstream, and do it all again. By the third lap, most people are laughing and paddling like pros, feeling a sense of accomplishment after conquering the rapids.
In between the rapids, there are calm stretches where you can float, look up at the canyon walls, and enjoy the view. You’ll finish the day tired but happy, probably soaked, and definitely grinning. It’s a fun, easygoing way to spend a few hours outside and experience one of Colorado’s best river runs. Plus, we offer photography services to capture those unforgettable moments.
