Description

If you're in search of a unique and enjoyable rafting experience in the Vail Valley, the Lower Eagle is your perfect match. This trip offers a balance of excitement and relaxation, with approximately 2.5 hours on the river and a total trip time of around 3 hours, including the drive and preparation. You'll navigate through roughly ten miles of steady Class II to III+ rapids, providing just the right amount of thrill for beginners. The majority of our guests are families, first-time visitors, or anyone seeking an active and memorable outdoor adventure.

Your journey begins with a brief ride to the put-in spot, where your experienced guide will review the essentials and ensure everyone is prepared. Once you set off, the current immediately engages you. Rapids like Trestle and Dead Cow provide plenty of excitement. At the same time, calmer stretches in between allow you to relax and appreciate the canyon views—pine forests, open valleys, and the invigorating mountain air unique to Colorado.

Your guide does the steering while you and your crew paddle together, laugh, and enjoy the ride. All gear is provided, including wetsuits, splash jackets, and river booties, ensuring you stay comfortable throughout. Rest assured, your safety is our top priority, and our experienced guides will ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for you.

Keep your eyes peeled for osprey soaring above, beavers busy along the banks, or even mule deer near the water's edge. This trip offers not just adventure, but also the chance to connect with the natural beauty of the Vail Valley.

By the time you pull the raft out, you'll be a little wet, a lot happy, and maybe even thinking about doing it again. It's the perfect short adventure—fun, scenic, and just the right amount of wild. You'll feel a sense of accomplishment after navigating the rapids and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
