Description

Embark on a unique mountain adventure that unveils a lesser-known side of Colorado. In just a few hours, you'll traverse the rugged trails of the White River National Forest in an open-air Jeep, ascending to nearly 10,000 feet. This exclusive experience offers a refreshing morning in the crisp mountain air, panoramic vistas, and serene roads enveloped by nature.

We start on a forest track that winds through tall aspens and evergreens. The road gets higher as we go, and pretty soon you can see the tops of the 14,000-foot peaks in the distance. The ride, though bumpy in spots, is steady and comfortable, ensuring you can relax, take photos, and ask your guide about the history of the area or the wildlife we might see along the way.

Moose and deer are common here, especially in the open meadows. Sometimes we spot black bears or hawks circling above the ridges. The guides know all the good stops for photos, so there's plenty of time to hop out and look around. It's a thrilling experience to be in the midst of such diverse wildlife.

About halfway through, we pull over at a scenic overlook for lunch. You'll have a simple boxed meal and time to take in the view — it's quiet, with just the sound of the wind and the birds.

The ride back follows a different route down the mountain, giving you another perspective of the valley below. It's not a rushed trip; the goal is to enjoy the fresh air, the views, and the sense of being somewhere truly peaceful. It's a perfect opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate amidst nature's tranquility.
